8th February Filming.

Today as a group we decided to film the chase sequence as some of our characters which we require are in school and it would be convieniant to finish everything whilst the characters are there.

It was good to see that everyone had co-operated as required and the group were pleased with the clips we gathered. We plan to edit the footage on the 11th February.

6th February 2013

Today was our last chance to edit and make our video better before showing it to our class tomorrow for feedback , unfortunately Fahad and Inoshan were not here to help me and Alaa through the last minute editing we had to do. I've realised that our film needs alot to be done to it. we have a lot of scenes to re-film we also need to film some new scenes to fit in to the film. During the re filimg we have to consider the costumes and setting of the previous scenes we have filmed. We had started our editing yesterday but with the shortage of time , we were unable to do a lot , today me and Alaa had done all the editing and tried our best to bring the film to standards, although the film does need alot more to be done to it such as sound, tranisitions, re-filming, more filming and editing as well as title credits.
We hope after tomorrow's feedback we are able to look in to our work more carefully and try do better.

28th January 2013

Today we uploaded our video that we had made of the focus group and we started to edit it so we could put it on our blog. We also looked through all the videos we had made to see what scenes need to be done again. We went through our story board once again but we did feel the need for Inoshans presence at this lesson as he was absent.
Today was a lesson to give us a chance to catch up on our blog work as well as some paper work.
I believe we have enough work to be doing to make sure we stay on time with our work as well as our recording.

25th January 2013

Today as group we decided that we will refilm the scene which we filmed earlier, this was decided because the shots weren't as good when we attempted to edit it.

We set her and Alaa the assignment to re-film the shot as they knew what to film and how to film it. Whilst Inoshan and Fahad remained in class amending the storyboard as we had made drastic changes to our initial idea.

We decided that after the lessons today we will gather outside and film the house shot as a group which we will require later. This was decided because it would save time and we could film all the shots before we edit.

22nd January 2013.

In our meeting we decided not to film outside due to the snow, as well as it affecting the scenes ahead when we are editing. We've also decided to add our credits into the opening sequence as it would fit in at the start than the end.

We decided to change our initial idea as the new idea suggested by Inoshan was better.
The main reason for changing the initial idea is that it didn't sum up the film.

Our new storyline is that the character runs around the building until he encounters the bullies, he then gets beaten up and the scene changes into the character

As a group we have decided a soundtrack to fit the role of the scene and the mood of the character, this will ensure that the viewer will understand the emotions of the character in the tensed situation. However, we will have to research soundtracks that will fit the scenario, and have to use the correct volume when required.

17th January 2013.

Today as a group we decided to film our opening scene to the sequence.

We changed our idea from having a faded flashback into a montage of the main school of our "Victim"

Codes and conventions of our Genre

our Genre is Action, this may consist of chase and adventure.
codes are the tools the director may use to make the film this may include camera angles, music, costumes, framing, script and many more. conventions is the way the tools (codes) are used. This helps us understand which character is playing what role in the story. Indeed, the way these codes are used can manipulate our feelings towards a character and also show importance of each character in the story.
